MAKINA VE KIMYA ENDUSTRISI KURUMU  ==> next

MKEK 
Full name Makina ve Kimya Endustrisi Kurumu. In 1952 MKEK took over THK factory at Ankara, together with existing designs. THK-15 became the MKEK Model 1, THK-16 the Model 2, THK-5 and 5A the Models 5 and 5A, THK Prototype 14 the Model 6 and THK-2 the Model 7. Developed Model 4 Ugur tandem two-seat primary trainer for Turkish Air Force, three presented to Royal Jordanian Air Force.

NUD 
Established in 1937 at Istanbul, NUD built gliders under license and produced the two-seat NU D.36 training biplane and a prototype NU D.38 high-wing, twin-engined six-pasenger airliner.

TURK HAVA KURUMU UCAK FABRIKASI 
Aircraft factory of the Turkish Air League formed 1941 at Etimesgut, near Ankara. Built several gliders, including the THK-1 12-seat troop transport glider, and five types of light aircraft: the THK-2 single-seat aerobatic trainer; THK-5/5A twin-engined light transport/ambulance; THK-11 three-seat pusher-engined twin-boom light tourer; THK-15 tandem two-seat primary trainer; and THK-16 twin-jet trainer. Also built about 100 Miles M.14s under license, Turkish Air League control ceased 1952; renamed Makina ve Kimya Endustrisi Kurumu (see MKEK).

TUSAS AEROSPACE INDUSTRIES INC.
 
TUSAS Havacilik ve Uzay Sanayii AS, founded May 1984 as a joint-venture company with Turkish Armed Forces Foundation and Turkish Air League (2 percent shareholding), Lockheed Martin of Turkey (42 percent) and General Electric (7 percent). TAI currently manufactures Lockheed Martin F-16C/D Block 5ODs for the Turkish Air Force under the U.S. Peace Onyx II program plus wings and fuselages for U.S. production lines under Peace Onyx I, assembles Airtech CN 235M transport for air force, assembles UH- 60L Black Hawks for army, comanufactures Eurocopter Cougar Mk Is for air force, and contributes to Airbus FLA, Eurocopter EC 135 and Sikorsky S-76 programs. Other work includes UAVs and aircraft modernization, development of the TG-X1 Bat very light single-seat attacksurveillance aircraft (first flown February 1997, based on U.S. Sadler A-22 Piranha), and development of the HD-XX twin-turbofan regional transport.
